Self-portrait with hairdressers (extract), 2012
With much happiness and a desire to spread the love, I’ve added a new post to the awards page. You can see the full photograph there too. The page is here: https://thefutureispapiermache.wordpress.com/awards/diamonds-and-pearls-awards-post/
Lovely smile she send you… ‘big big smile’
Ah, yes. ha ha. Have you checked the awards post?

‘haha’ – sorry at first sight, I was concentrated on the photo, yes both of them – because I think the combination of them is great – really good work… 😉
Thank you, thank you for mentioning my blog, I really appreciate it … 😉
I also enjoy your blog and your photos – I’m no great photographer myself, but I love finding stories in photos – yes in the written word I meet as well… 😉
Thanks very much! 🙂 You’re most welcome to the nomination – love your blog!
Really like this detail shot.
Thanks, Mobius! I haven’t done much cropping before now – quite an interesting process. Forgot to add, have you seen the full-size one/ post?
Simply lovely
And I have seen a full size one 2
Thank you so much – I take that as a huge compliment.
Dear Richard, where are you 🙂 I saw the whole photograph too… This is amazing and you captured such a nice smile… Let me ask (a silly question) does she know that you are taking her pictures and she smiles… I wondered. I am not in this step yet, on street photography, I like to take people’s pictures too but not being easy… Another point, for me the whole photograph is much more impressive I can see the action too, I mean you! while taking her picture…. Thank you, it was so enjoyable post(s), have a nice new weekend, love, nia
Ha, ha – I’m right there. Yes, she knew I was taking her photograph I tried to take a shot before this and hesitated – that usually means I lose the shot – I thought she was either going to turn away or give me “the stare”, but I think she was OK with it. 🙂 Thanks, Nia.
Agree with ledrakenoir: she has a lovely smile.
I think this cut-out is cooler than the original picture. This almost looks like a vintage photo.
Thanks – yes, I’ve not experimented much with crops, but maybe I’ll do a bit more in future. I prefer to compose in camera most of the time.
Me too. It’s quicker and less painful.
