Around The World In A Day, 2012
This was taken on Keeley Street, London, UK. A great look, in my opinion. Not sure how you would classify it, but it reminded me of Jules Verne for some reason, which is handy because it sort of dovetails with the Prince title used here.
He does look like he has stepped out from another time. Great suit. Do you know why he was wearing it?
No idea – we had a brief chat, and I gave him one of my cards. I think he’s just extremely stylish.
He is what’s known as a Hipster. It’s all about the show.
You’ve got to admit it’s a good show though 🙂
Sartorially splendid! I like how the backdrop echos his shoes.
Thanks, Deanne. Yes, the whole scene looks co-ordinated, doesn’t it? I wish I had the courage/ imagination to dress with so much consideration and verve.
Exactly nostalgic… But so nice… You captured such a nice photograph as a fashion magazine shot… Thank you dear Richard, love, nia
Thanks, Nia. I thought it was time for a break from the gloom – but I can feel the gloom calling again…
A good subject to take photos of. Do more of this guy. Profiles, interacting with inanimate objects.
Thanks, Sam. Interesting idea for a project…
I love this guy! Great shot!
Thanks very much, Melanie!
Another great image! 🙂
Thanks, Richard 🙂
No worries. I like the casual pose and the friendly ‘hurry up’ expression.
Nice shot!
Thank you! Great blog!
Sort of 20´s country look. Just needs an open top tourer and a flapper!
Yes, of course! ha ha!
Mighty suave dresser! He looks like a cross between The Future is Papier Mache and Notes to the Milkman (judging by the avatars). He certainly reminds me of SOMEONE. The earphones take him out of yesteryear.
Ha, ha, I’m sure John will be pleased to hear that he’s been crossed with me. Yes, it’s a great look, isn’t it?
but the photograph expresses a nice moment!
Thanks!
Dandy!! 🙂
Indeedy! 🙂
What a great look.
Yes, I particularly like the different coloured waistcoat – think that really elevates it.
Gorgeous & sexy, well taken, even the ‘wall’ is colour co-ordinated.
Ha, ha, thanks!
Great outfit – the “chap” look is back! Love the shoes he’s wearing.
Absolutely! He’s not alone in this style, but he carries it particularly well – yes the shoes are great. They kind of define the look, I think.
Dandy cool
Yes, indeed!
Intriguing as usual. Also as usual I had a closer look, due to I thought he is quite tanned for a Londoner even in early Summer, and he is. The shoes also have seen better days. Stylish, magazine open to a foodie article… but something else kept bothering me, he looks like someone… google images Michael Hutchence and tell me what you think.
Yes, that’s true – I’m pretty sure he had an English accent, though – perhaps he was from the south coast. Yes, the resemblance to MH is uncanny! I wonder if he’s aware of this.
