Double Street Portrait (for and of Tim Pritchett and Elle A), 2012
The same day I took the shots of Siena (see previous post), I saw Tim Pritchett and Elle A outside a sushi bar. They were so cool. What a fantastic couple! To my utter delight, they agreed to having their portrait taken. Tim suggested the fish and chip shop as a backdrop. This was the first of six shots and the one they liked the best. Thanks Tim and Elle! Hope you like your picture (now you can see it properly).
Agree that’s a great couple – wery well captured… 🙂
Thanks so much, Drake! 🙂 It was a nice process this time – none of us were in a tearing hurry – I think the relaxed attitude comes across.
Fish and chips, and fur! What fun.
Ha, ha, yes! It was great fun! The smell of vinegar always makes me want to buy chips, but I didn’t have time…
Cool couple! 😀 And nice background, as you say! It sets them off brilliantly! 🙂
Yes, they’re great aren’t they? Thanks very much, Richard! 🙂 Wish I’d had more time with them.
Ah, but then the shots wouldn’t be as good… The off-the-hoof ones are always best!
They look so casually well-put together! For some reason I am drawn to Tim and Elle’s hands . . . Fabulous portrait Richard!
Yes, I think there’s a real art to looking so casual. Thanks very much, Patti!
This is FANTASTIC. Great looks.
Hey, thanks, Terry! Yes, indeed.
A great pair they make. Love this shot. What is that around his neck (the necklace I mean)?
I’m not sure what it is – in that I don’t think it’s anything representational – it’s like a cluster of jewellery on a lanyard. Thanks very much, Melanie.
Awesome photo!
Thank you so much!
That is pretty cool that they didn’t just stand there, but helped to make it a great shot.
Yes, it was a nice change to collaborate on a shot. Thanks very much, Leanne.
Brilliant..such style!
Thanks, Cath! Yes, indeed! And very natural. Something I really like about the people I shoot is that they don’t just dress up, they inhabit their clothes and Tim and Elle do that.
I like that expression 🙂
Terrific moment!
Thanks, Elena! Yes, indeed – the first shot was the best – think I caught their essence best in this one.
They look like me and my old man did in the 70’s – no kidding!
You must have been super cool, Lesley! Great look.
Been!!!! Still am 😉
Of course!
Another great street portrait. I love the backdrop.
Thanks very much, Chris – that’s a very nice compliment. Yes, well chosen by Tim.
Great double portrait.
Thanks very much, Stevie.
I have nothing to add that haven’t already been said: great shots!
Thanks so much, Cardinal!
the guy is the star here
good male female dynamic capture of this relationship
That’s really interesting. I hadn’t really thought about that – I guess I was distracted by the business in hand. Hmm.
What a fun couple and a great portrait! He is wearing what reminds me of my husband’s mother’s mink boa! The heads were clasp-closed in the front like two kissing minks! 😉
Yes, indeed! Thanks very much, George. That sounds brilliant! 🙂
