Street Portrait (for and of Mick) #1, 2013
Today it was unexpectedly cold. But I managed to keep warm by running after Mick. I spotted him on the other side of the road and went for it. He was really nice about stopping given how cold it was. What can I say? Incredible, honest style. Thanks so much, Mick! Hope you like your pictures.

He looks great. Where’s his Harley?
Yes, indeed. Probably round the corner.
Yes! So many wonderful characters.
Thanks very much, Karen!
Maybe a younger brother of ZZ Top..? “lol”
Very well captured… 🙂
Thank you very much, Drake! 🙂 I’d forgotten about ZZ Top.
Awesome portraits, Richard!!!
Thanks very much, Santi!
I would have run to catch up with MIck too! Terrific!
Thanks so much, Elena! Yes, he’s great isn’t he?
glad you ran after him!
Me too! I love it when people inhabit their clothes, when you know it’s a natural extension of their personality and they’re not just dressing up – Mick is the real deal.
Thats is quite the image- he is confident in his own right!
Yes, indeed! Thanks, Kathryn.
Brilliant
Thanks very much, John.
An illustrated memoir, Work-in-progress.
Yes, brilliant.
A wee bit of the Irish hiding somewhere in there! Great portrait.
Thanks so much.
Mick looks happy enough, whatever the weather. Lovely shots Richard!
Yes, he was really very positive – great bloke. Thanks very much, Patti!
Fantastic! Both are great. I especially like the first shot in color: there is something extra fun about that red skull. 🙂
Thanks very much, Melanie. Yes, I’m thinking I might put the second shot in colour on the remix blog, because the patches etc are so beautiful.
Great image! I prefer the closer cropped one, but they both show a lot of character! 🙂
Thanks very much, Richard! 🙂
Love the contrast of the colour and b&w shots… in colour Mick looks like a lively character of your fabulous street portraits but in the b&w he appears as if a caricature…
That’s interesting – I’m definitely going to post the colour version of that B&W shot on the remix blog now.
What a cool man! 🙂 And you! How determined and devoted to your passion! Admirable!
Yes, indeed! Oh, er, [blushes] 🙂 Thanks very much! Love your blog.
🙂
Great character. That’s how I want to look when I’m older. Rock on!
Yes, indeed. Me too!
