Our Eyes Give It Shape, 2013
* * *
I’ve just had another photograph published on Guerrilla Graffiti Magazine as an accompaniment to Bajans In My Head by Ken Trimble. My idea is to use shots that I haven’t used here.
Nice! Congrats on getting this published 🙂
Hi! Really nice to hear from you! Ah, yes, I worded that wrongly – the shot on GGM is a different one altogether 🙂 Just going to re-word this post…
Ah! Makes sense, now 🙂
Love the composition here. Fascinating lines and color, too. Congratulations for the GGM publication!
Thanks very much, Melanie! Yes, it’s in the window of an office block. I think there were two or three of them and the lights changed. Must have driven the receptionists mad.
Great shot (and an intriguingly familiar one too), and great blog over at Bajans! 🙂
🙂 Yes, strange that…Thanks very much, Richard!
Lovely photo of a beautiful object, what and where is that?
Yes, it is – it’s a light installation in an office block somewhere near to the Barbican (I’m hopeless at directions).
kudos on the composition, I find myself drawn to the little speck of light on the right (my left as i look at it but right of actual photo) rather than the huge multi-coloured circle
Thanks very much, Leon. Yes, it’s funny isn’t it – think blemishes and little distractions often really make pictures.
Thanks very much! 🙂
I’m trying to figure out if that central dark line is actually bent, or if it’s an optical illusion because of the rounded lights. I’m not sure.
Perhaps our minds give it shape…
Yes, it’s an odd one that – it’s a seal between two panes of glass, so I guess it could be bent, but it seems unusual in a corporate office block. Yes, ha, ha.
🙂 Thanks, Ashley!
Thanks very much 🙂
Brilliant! Great name for a magazine, too.
Thanks very much, Alison! Yes, Brice the editor is a great poet – and the magazine’s title is his.
Brice – another good name!
This half circle creates a nice shape in this photo.
Yes, couldn’t resist…
Congrats! And love this vibrant shot
Thanks very much, Emily! Glad you like it.
Nice partial framing and fab neon colours.
Thanks very much, Stevie. The thing changed colours as well.
Love the colours, and that we get to only see part of it. I’d like a house size one of these lights.
Wow, that would be amazing!
