Indoor Games, 2013
What an interesting picture Richard, I like the hint of colour, and the shadows, then there is that reflection of glass or something like it as well. A lot going on, yet not a lot there.
Thanks very much, Leanne. I liked the “noir” feel of it. Can’t remember where or when I took it, though 🙂
Okay. I like the shadows, but I don’t get the title. Help me out, here. 😉
Thanks, George. The title’s just there to suggest narratives to you. It doesn’t mean anything per se. It’s the title of a little-known song by King Crimson.
Thanks very much!
Ha, thanks, Alex! 🙂
Nice image! The framing of it works really well, and the interesting title leads to SO many questions! 😀
Thanks very much, Richard! Glad it left you with questions 🙂
4 pm? you’re standing inside? the colorized packages fall right along that path of light. good shot. And intriguing.
Thanks very much. No, I think I was outside. It probably was about 4pm (Need to change the way I create and sort my Jpgs 🙂 )
Lovely image, Richard. I love the rhythm of the shapes and shades.
Thanks very much, Chris. Glad you like it. Now that you mention it, there is a Hitchcockian dance routine warming up there:)
Hitchcock dancing? You must mean Robyn.
I’m not so sure – Alfred’s movements to camera are very deliberate, emphatic and often ironic – points to him being an excellent dancer (in secret of course). I think Robyn would be the one to show himself up:) Great live though!
Nothing like 3. The shadows are working for ya!
Ha, ha, yes, thanks very much, Elena!
Very nice–abstract and concrete at the same time. Well done!
Thanks very much, Jennifer!
This is very interestingly layered, as the sunlight and shadows add an unusual quality to the cracks in the pavement.
Thanks very much, Cheryl. I think it’s got an almost studio set look to it.
Love those marching shadows!
Ha, ha, thanks Patti!
Nice. Great use of shadows. It’s like a still from a thriller movie.
Thanks very much, Stevie. Yes, I think it’s got a Hitchcock type flavour to it.
It’s really very interesting this! Better the longer you look at it.. At first I saw the colour on the left as a wreath, but now I’m seeing that evolutionary ape to man image too..even though the final man is a lamp post…! It’s really very pleasing! I’m itching for you to chop just a teeny bit off the right..but that is rude and none of my business 🙂
Thanks very much, Cath! That’s a very interesting point about the bit on the right (not rude at all), and I think you’re right – if I come to use it again, I’ll crop it. 🙂
