Street Portrait (for and of Harry), 2013
Harry was the first person (outside the house) that I took a photograph of with the new 35mm. He stood out from the lunchtime crowd immediately. And he was really nice about me taking a few shots. This was the first of four and my favourite. Thanks very much, Harry! Hope you like your picture.
looking forward for the rest to come
Thanks very much, Inge – yes, I need to take a few more 🙂
I like the caught movement in the blurred hand. A gesture within your shared moment, an emphasis somehow.
That’s a really interesting idea – Harry was great, but slightly taken aback, I think – so it could be that.
Interesting character indeed and a lovely portrait! London is one of those very cosmopolitan places! 🙂
Thanks very much, Richard! 🙂 Yes, not as much as I’d like sometimes.
really great shot. Love this one. Has energy and what a fab expression you caught!
Thanks so much, Emily. Yes, Harry was caught slightly off guard in this one. I like those shots the best.
Oozing with personality! A great one Richard!
Yes, indeed! Every detail of his dress said something as well. Thanks very much, Elena!
he is too cute!
Ha, ha, yes indeed!
Love this shot Richard, Harry looks so at ease
Thanks very much, Alison. Really glad you like it. Harry was great about the shots – this was the one where I caught him off guard.
He’s so spunky! Love the look!
Yes, it’s great isn’t it? Yes, indeed!
Awesome shot, and what a smile he has! I’m envious of that smile. I’m glad you were able to catch him off guard and relaxed.
Thanks very much, Alex! Me too. The gaps in between are the best moments.
Really quirky and just a little bit shy, lovely capture..
Yes, in a nutshell. Thanks very much, Cath.
He looks like fun! Great capture. How are you liking the 35 so far?
Yes, Harry was great about the shots. Thanks very much. I’m sort-of not liking it at the moment, but it needs more time/ practice 🙂
Beautiful boy.
Yes, indeed. And really nice too.
A treasure of a portrait. Thanks, as usual, for sharing!
Thanks very much, Billimarie! I love sharing them – it’s a compulsion 🙂
Wow, Richard, you certainly caught Harry’s fabulous flair and style – those eyebrows! Your 35mm is looking good from this side!
Ha, ha, thanks very much, Patti!
what a wonderful capture! 🙂
Thanks very much, Anette 🙂
A great shot, I can see the rapport between you and Harry, he seems at ease, and that must be a challenge when you work with people you’ve just met.
Yes, it doesn’t always happen, but it’s nice when it does.
