Cool photos and what an awesome title! “The Planet of Rude Surprises”, brilliant.
I love the late night shopping photo. Is it double exposures, mixed technique? Whatever it is, it’s great.
Thanks very much, Cardinal! Late Night Shopping was hatched in Photoshop – from two photographs – one months old the other weeks.
The grit and splatters and drips of these are sublime, Richard. Quirky lives being fully lived. I seriously adore this series!
I’m really glad you like them, Karen. They’ve prompted me to rethink the way and the what of my street shots.
Ooh! Late Night Shopping is VERY Whovian! 😀
A great pair of images, Richard – they’re working really well together! 🙂
Yes, I think so too. 🙂 Thanks very much, Richard!
Great pair of images I really do like your new style
Thanks very much, Leon. Glad you like it – it’s becoming the way I work – slower, but with more impact.
The outcome is definitely worth the extra work in my opinion
Both surreal. The first is superb!
Thanks very much, Ellen. I took 8-10 shots of that window before I got the image I wanted. I like that one because it looks like I could have montaged it, but I didn’t.
Excellent, Richard. These two made me smile, and the title too. 🙂
Thanks so much, Ashley. 🙂
Thanks very much, John!
I love the painted curtain, it looks like muslin. And the astronaut is a little boys favourite dream. So is he you? 🙂 I am in the great shoes. 🙂 love these!
Ha, yes! Used to be aged five, six 🙂 I’m really glad you like them, Gigi!
I’m in love of the first one.
That’s really great to hear – thanks very much – that’s a big compliment.
There is so much to look at in these Richard… I loving them too
I’m really glad you like them – thanks very much, Jana.
Love the dripping and splash. Very intense pictures, Richard.
I’m really glad you like them, Laura – thanks very much.
Supremely cool-both images!
Thanks very much, Elena!
really love these. They have a quirky, grungy feel.
Really glad you like them – thanks very much, Emily.
They’re great! And the titles!
Thanks very much, Lynn!
Thanks very much, Rabirius.
Fabulous retro feel in these great shots Richard, time wearing through the images.
That’s a lovely description – thanks very much, Patti.
Cool images. Something sinister about that spaceman…
Love both of these for different reasons. The first is so very romantic and compelling and the second so objective and compelling. Great pairing of two ways of seeing.
Thanks very much, Steven – really glad you like them. I’ve always liked putting images in pairs – I used to make books, so my thinking is very much recto/ verso (which of course doesn’t really work in this format, ha ha, but it’s the way I look at the pictures before I post them).
Hi Richard, “Late Night Shopping” is gorgeous. Where did you take the photo of the space suit? Was there someone inside or was it a model?
Hi Cheryl, thanks so much. The space suit is a statue in the entrance to either the Science Museum or the Natural History – it seemed quite funny to have a space age object set in stone.
Both are fascinating!
Thanks very much, Anette!
Oh, lovely shots Richard!…
Thanks so much, Dave!
