Ashley Lily Scarlett and I have started a new blog called Between Scarlett and Guest. It’s a dialogue in pictures. You can follow the course of the conversation here.
love her pose.
Yes, interesting isn’t it?
Great together but I simply love the first one. It is great street photography. I love the way the guy seems totally oblivious to being observed.
Thanks very much, Ellen. Initially, I walked past him and thought I’d lost the shot, but I went back and he didn’t spot me, so I got three shots. This was the middle shot. Sparrowfall (2) is the final shot.
really love what you did with this; revealing and concealing… and the original is a great capture.
Really glad you like them, Emily – they are the second and third of three shots – there’s a lot more expression on his face in (2), which I’ve completely buried – I preferred his fingertips. Thanks very much.
I think this might be one of my favourites of yours
That’s a great thing to read – thanks very much, James.
both are layered with your artsy side – esp. the first – 🙂
🙂 Thanks very much, Yvette.
Fantastic. The pensive expression and B&W in the first are a perfect match.
Thanks very much!
So many thoughts tapping away in these scenes Richard!
Yes, it was one of those moments.
Great shot, Richard. The first one is more ‘is she coming’ than ‘I have an idea’, but it’s a lovely, candid image. 🙂
Thanks very much, Richard. Really glad you like it.
Brilliant! Looking at Sparrowfall 1 I wondered what was the object on the counter-top at his fingertips. I had to smile when I scrolled down to see Sparrowfall 2.
Ha, ha, yes, I can imagine! Thanks very much, Alex!
I really like both of these, Richard. You capture some excellent candid shots. I absolutely love what you’ve done with the second one, these composites you do are so intriguing, it’s great how they make my eyes dance around looking for their secrets.
Thanks very much, Ashley. Yes, I’m working on taking the composites a bit further. I’ve started reworking Sparrowfall (2).
Thanks very much! Rather cheekily, I’ve reworked (2) and will be posting it again in a week or so’s time.
Fascinating work, Richard! It feels like going a little deeper into the psyche in the second one. The subtle gesture shifts are perfection.
Thanks very much, Karen! I’ve been working on (2) – it’s now quite different – I’ll post the updated version soon – I’m trying to slow things down even further.
These are great Richard, I had to do a double take on the second one but now I see her face, great post excellent
Thanks very much, Sheldon – really glad you like them.
