– Street Portrait (for and of Mickey), 2015 –
Mickey was taking a break from decorating (on The Strand, London), when I spotted him. He was great about me taking a few shots. This was the first and is my favourite. Thanks very much, Mickey! Hope you like your picture.

Since May 2012, I have been asking strangers if I can take their photograph. I’m drawn to the stylish and the interesting – and all of the people here are one or the other or both. Thanks to Mickey, Paul, Andy, David Michael, Dinos, Pia, Rob, Marieangela, Phil, Stefano, Christina, Scrappy, Besrat, Meraz, Daisuke, Wendy, Gilbert, George, Cobain, Steve, Ellie, Spencer, Chris, Jason, Fabio, Ed, Oli and Giovanni, and to everyone who has stopped for a portrait.

– Street Portrait (for and of Paul), 2014 –
Paul was on the phone when I spotted him, so I waited for several minutes, looking more and more conspicuous. By the time he’d finished his call, he must have wondered about me. But he was really nice about me taking a few shots – again, this was the first and is my favourite. Thanks very much, Paul! Hope you like your picture.

If you are interested in learning a bit of background to any of the shots above, a quick search of TFIPM by the person’s name should bring up the original post. This post is dedicated to George Skeggs, my first street portraitee – without him there would have been no beginning…

Ashley Lily Scarlett and I have started a new blog called Between Scarlett and Guest. It’s a dialogue in pictures. You can read/ eavesdrop on the conversation here.

Another great round-up of your stunning street portraiture, Richard.
(Why eight months’ worth though?)

I’ve said it before so I hope you don’t mind if I say it again. This is a solid collection of images that deserves a show.
Thanks very much, John. Absolutely not at all – I’m thinking about it…
When/if you’d print some of these for a show, it would be interesting to see what decisions you’d make in terms of print scale.
They just work together, well not just… I know there’s a lot of footwork and technique going on behind the scenes!
That’s great to read, EllaDee – thanks very much. You know, I love the footwork – photography is my fitness regime.
All wonderful and I love seeing them.
Thanks very much – much appreciated.
I love your street portraits!
Regards
Charles

It’s fantastic to see these portraits together. What a collection of work! There’s a couple I don’t recognize, so I’ll have to go back and check them out.
And, wow! Mickey! One of your best, in my opinion. He has a infectious smile, and you’ve captured it very well.

I love the candid of the photos and the spontaneity of them
Really glad you like them, Sheldon; thanks very much.
Hmm. I’m having trouble making the slideshow work. The space is black with no images, just titles. I can still see the thumbnails here on the front page though. Wonderful faces, all!
Yes, I think I overloaded the slideshow. Won’t do that again. Thanks very much, Lemony!
