Ashley Lily Scarlett and I have started a new blog called Between Scarlett and Guest. It’s a dialogue in pictures. You can read/ eavesdrop on the conversation here.

HAHAHA! That was prompted by the title of the image! I tell you, most sincerely: I didn’t do it, it wasn’t me!
Oh yes, nice image, too. 🙂 I’m still enjoying the plastic bags. Are they all orange?
Where I live they are mostly grey or white. In Bondi they were mostly blue or white.
Ha, ha, me neither.
Thanks very much, Ashley. No, we have other colours, but I like the orange.
Just after I posted that comment, I remembered you included a white one in a self portrait. I can see why you like the orange ones, though. They’re an odd colour, I think, but you’ve been making some really interesting palettes with them.
The beauty of paint and plastic.
Thanks very much, Erassima!
Almost looks like there’s an eye in there, great piece Richard
Thanks very much, Sheldon.
Quote under image must have been taken from a speech by one of our (US) wonderfully gifted, sensitive and all knowing politicians in the US.
Wonderful image and design.
It’s not just the US. They’re just the same here. Thanks very much, Barry.
Very sad, isn’t it?
Pathetic. And people seem to fall for it.
Also very cool ☺️
Thanks so much, Hedy.
Very cool. It has movement. Like the arrow and how the orange contrasts with the grey monotones.
Thanks very much, Mark – much appreciated.
Surreal! And I love it.
Ha, yes. Thanks very much, Malin – much appreciated.
Love the title, quote, and of course your very cool image.
Thanks so much, Elena!
The bag’s definitely getting about! 😀
Yes, indeed.
Fabulous organic flow to this work Richard!
Thanks very much, Patti!
C’est ma faute , c’est ma très grande faute , punissez moi Richard parce que j’ais sculpté , comme un pauvre bûcheron que je suis …!!!
Ha, ha!
Some of the current Canadian politicians are not much better – they just say it in an apologetic manner.
As they say, please close the door on your way down.
This series is fascinating. Frozen Motion and abstract movement. 🙂
Thanks so much – much appreciated. Yes, it seems a pretty widely used strategy to set the majority against a soft target. What I don’t get is that they’ve been doing it for decades and they’re still getting away with it.
Another great collage. I like the way it suggests an arm holding the carrier bag and body (and legs) moving forward. There is a nice motion to it.
Thanks very much, Stevie.
Whoa! Super!…
Thanks so much, Dave!
Wow, yes, this is how it is. Great sense of the vulnerable/strong here..
Thanks very much, Cath. My grumpiness comes out more and more often lately, ha ha.
How did I miss this masterpiece! Wonderful!! So many visual layers…
Thanks so much, Ellen – that’s lovely to read!
[…] to have developed a liking for that muted orange colour that you can see here, which reminds me of Richard’s plastic bags. I find this an interesting phenomenon: this unconscious (until now) influence. And I’m […]
The compositions for this series have been very striking. And thought-provoking.
Thanks very much, Lemony. I’m really glad they worked to that extent.
