David Cook and I are reviewing each other’s record collections one disc at a time on a new blog called Zzzounds! David has just reviewed The Seer by Swans. Check it out!
Thank you for The Who.
Is that a Who song? Don’t know that one.
Brilliant composition.
Thanks very much, Rabirius. Much appreciated!
Great composition; there’s a nice sense of movement with the different elements of the collage and I sense a figure waiting to break through on the right hand side! 🙂
Thanks very much, Richard!
Intriguing – now awaiting the Bed & Breakfast Woman. 🙂
Bottom left 🙂
😀
I’m with Rabirius!
Thanks very much!
Fascinating composition and merging of pieces. I’m intrigued by the interaction of bold color and more subtle tones, by the marvelous sharp lines made dynamic by the transparent overlays of white, and then by mix of grass (is it?) and dried twigs in the top right hand corner (so humorous to me!! haha–not sure why 🙂 I guess it’s the naturalness of it at the edge. 🙂
Thanks very much, Lemony. Really glad you like it. Yes, I think it’s reeds at the edge of a pond.
Very strong, Richard!
Thanks so much, Laura! Much appreciated.
Ah! I’d forgotten about that Madness song, and the bleak, grey, 70s-80s, chip-pan, smokey buses, tartan fleece-lined jackets and Angle Delight times it reminds me off. 😉
Yes, I’m very late coming to Madness – didn’t get it at the time, but yes – totally that! 🙂 I was at school when they were at the height of their powers.
The “simple complexity” of a visual haiku.
I love this conversation.
All the best
Thanks so much, Marcelo. Really glad you like it and much appreciated.
Love the disparate elements in this. Poetic in its layering. Best, Ellen
Thanks very much, Ellen. I’m thinking about basing a painting on it.
Wonderful sense of aim and direction here Richard.
Thanks very much, Patti. It’s kind of a work in progress – think there’s a painting in there somewhere…
Lots of tension in this. Gorgeous!
Thanks so much, Karen!
This image reminds me a lot of Rauschenberg – challenging to look at and take in, but also very visually appealing.
Thanks – I’ll take that!
A wonderful rhythm of composition.
Thanks very much, Elena.
