Street Portrait (for and of Hayley), 2013

Another shot taken in Covent Garden, this one just off Neal Street (which is crawling with street photographers every day). Hayley was on the phone. I loved her clothes and her facial expressions, so I waited until she’d finished and then asked her for a picture. She was great about it and let me take a few shots. This was a sneaky last one that I took while we were talking afterwards. It’s my favourite. Thanks very much, Hayley! Hope you like your picture.

Street Portrait (for and of Emily), 2013

First day out with the camera for four days, and I was roaming the streets in search of a solution to mine and Richard’s latest collaboration conundrum. Without success as it happens, but I did see Emily. What a fantastic combination of stylistic elements! Another time-traveller, I think. Thanks so much for letting me take your picture, Emily! Hope you like it.

Street Portrait (for and of Gary), 2013

So, I was about to give up on Monday, was just outside the station and ready to go home when I spotted Gary. The jacket, hair, cap combination was what got my attention, but Gary had a great smile too! Thanks very much for letting me take the shots, Gary! Hope you like your picture.

Street Portrait (for and of Beth), 2013

Today, I’d done my usual Longacre circuit and was running low on hope – not a single decent shot. So I decided to have a nose around Floral Street, and spotted Beth from quite some distance – her hair looked amazing in the sun. I loved the way she was dressed – a really vivacious combination of texture and pattern. Anyway, thanks very much for letting me take the shots, Beth. Hope you like your picture.

Street Portrait (for and of Eva), 2013

This was another case of spotting someone across the street and running like Billy-O to catch up with them. And of course Eva was great about letting me take shots of her – this is the first and my favourite. I don’t need to tell you how great she looks – what style! Thanks very much for stopping Eva! Hope you like your picture.

Street Portrait (for and of McKenzie Brady), 2013

Just after seeing Stephen for lunch, I spotted McKenzie on the other side of Longacre. Her Keith Richards T-shirt was such a great combination with her jacket! So I dashed over and begged for a shot. And what a smile!! I hadn’t bargained on that! Wow! Thanks very much, McKenzie! Hope you like your picture.

Street Portrait (for and of Billy), 2013

Billy was on a brief break from working in one of the buildings on Kingsway, when I spotted him. He had a really interesting look of concentration, so I asked him if I could take his photograph. And then he smiled and I got my shot. What a great smile! Thanks very much, Billy! Hope you like your picture.
