If you are interested in learning a bit of background to any of the shots above, a quick search of TFIPM by the person’s name should bring up the original post. This post is dedicated to George Skeggs, my first street portraitee – without him there would have been no beginning…

Street Portrait (for and of Paul Smith), 2017– Street Portrait (for and of Paul Smith), 2017 –

Paul Smith is one of my favourite designers – I’ve been wearing his shirts and jeans for decades and got married in a Paul Smith suit. So, it was fantastic to run into him in Covent Garden, and he was great about me taking a few shots. This is the first and is my favourite. Thanks very much, Paul! Hope you like your picture.

Street Portrait (for and of Stephen Dunn), 2016– Street Portrait (for and of Stephen Dunn), 2016 –

This is my friend Stephen Dunn. So again this isn’t strictly speaking a street portrait in the sense I usually take them, but it’s my favourite of all the shots I’ve taken of  Stephen (and I’ve taken a lot – I think Stephen’s the most photographed person on this blog), and it was taken in the street so…

Thanks for letting me take this Stephen. Hope you like your picture.

Street Portrait (for and of Will McLean), 2016– Street Portrait (for and of Will McLean), 2016 –

This is my friend Will McLean. Will’s an architect amongst other things. We’ve known each other since 1987. So this isn’t strictly speaking a street portrait in the sense I usually take them, but I took it in the street so…the shot above was the first one I took and initially rejected because of the deep shadow, but I like it as a photograph now. The second shot is more how I think of Will. Thanks for letting me take these, Will. Hope you like your pictures.
