Double Street Portrait (for and of Lita and Christine), 2012
This was taken round about the same time as my shot of Alex and Lyulo and was taken just down the street from the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden, London, UK (where all the mountaineering and outdoor sport shops have gathered to compete with each other. And where I regularly steam up the windows, staring longingly at advanced clothing technology, dreaming of the day when I will have the time to climb a mountain).
Anyway! Lita and Christine were minding their own business, when I pounced! Like a jaguar from the doorway of The North Face! Raargh! Their coats were amazing! Their smiles were too! They were lovely and I’m sure thought I was mad. Raargh!
I’ve got something approximating the flu, if you’re wondering.
It’s 2 lovely ladies you found, Richard
– very well captured… 🙂
Yes, indeed! Thanks very much, Drake!
This is exceptionally bouncy, I like it 🙂 (But don’t get ill!)
Great, I’m glad you like it 🙂 (Too late! Grooo…)
The ladies are having fun…love this pic
Yes, indeed – really glad you like it, Barbara.
They are definitely not intimidated by your ‘approximate flu’ Richard. Lovely reactions, great shot.
Yes, they were great. Fantastic coats as well. Thanks, Philippa.
Great shot – like the guy stepping into the frame on the left. Sorry to hear about the flu. Drag.
Ha ha, yes, there’s always someone who wants to get in on the action. Thanks, Deanne – it’s quite interesting this one – feel like I’m in a spacesuit.
Great capture. Lita and Christine look like they are well able to live up to the statements their coats make 🙂 Other than samesame flu cures, I only have a slightly interesting but never tried by me Bulgarian remedy… whisky & black pepper 🙂
Thanks very much, EllaDee and thanks for the remedy – might leave out the black pepper though 🙂
Lovely shot
Thank you, Sir!
Great image – a bit Patsy and Edina, haha… Mountain climbing?! Are the Lemsips kicking in?! 😀
Thanks very much, Richard! 🙂 No Lemsips – too much like toilet cleaner. You know that Dr Who story The Green Death, well I think it’s living up my nose…
Well, thanks for that lovely image… :-S
feel better Richard.
I love the way the color red makes so many guest appearances in your portraits.
Thanks, John.
Yes, I’m a big fan of red. No shoes yet – have to remedy that…
I love the woman on the left, she’s brilliant! BTW hope you feel better soon. 🙂
Yes, she was so great, and quite into it I think. Thanks, Cheryl 🙂
What a stylish couple. The coats are so cool! Very 1969. Feel better soon, Richard.
Yes, indeed! I would love to be able to get away with wearing something like that. Thanks very much. I love sympathy almost as much as I love praise! 🙂
Fabulous! Just love those coats, and the complete fun of this shot. Hope you’re feeling better very soon!
Thanks so much! They were great! Today was bad, but I’m recovering nicely now, thanks.
Very 60s, but those coats are fab.
Yes, indeed.
Fun and fabulous!
Hope you’re on the mend, Richard.
Thanks very much, Karen. Yes, mending nicely now, thanks.
Damn! I want Christine’s coat. Uber hipsterism.
🙂 Yes, indeed!
Desde luego el abrigo rojo y la pose de la chica es increíble, ¡me encanta!!
Yes, it’s a great garment! I think they both are. And Lita and Christine were both really nice about me taking their photograph. It was a fun shot.
