I’m really glad you like it, Ashley – I tried it in a few different versions, but this straight out of the camera was the best – the blue in the sp is especially dour 🙂 Thanks very much, my friend!
The color tones of each piece work beautifully together. There is something about browns with blues (primordial, earth and sky maybe?). Really great, Richard! The self portrait has so much depth.
These are two nicely muted images again. I love the way you can wander down a street taking in both the interesting characters and find art in paint daubs or cracks in the wall. Great work, Richard! 🙂
I’m really glad you like the recent stuff. No need to apologise, Ellen – the freedom to come and go is one of the nice things about blogging, I think. I’m due a break myself.
Love these
Thanks very much, Alison.
I love this neutral palette, Richard. And the non-figurative self portrait. And your continuing and exciting experimentation.

Well thanks for keeping me entertained. 🙂
A …working self portrait [!] and an excellent abstract! Well done, Richard! 🙂
Many thanks, Marina! 🙂 Really glad you like them – have a great week!

Thanks so much, Karen. Really glad you like them. I really must get round to trying some of these side by side.
Fabulous warmth while keeping it cool!
Thanks so much, Patti!

Thanks so much, Richard! 🙂 It’s funny, I’m really into paint daubs and cracks in the wall now…
Haha! 😀
Really like the first image, the mixture of different textures is wonderful
Thanks very much, Leon – really glad you like it.
I find these ones fascinating, Richard. The almost abstract self portrait is very intriguing. Great shots!
Thanks very much, Laura! Really glad you like them.
The color temp of each is intriguing. Brilliant to pair them!
Thanks very much, Elena! Yes, I played around with the sp quite a lot before going for this version.
Hi Richard, I’m really enjoying your abstract series.
Hi Cheryl, I’m really glad you like them – I’m sure there will be more.
Loving this new series. Sorry I was away awhile and missed a whole bunch of your posts.

Have a good one!
Thanks, Ellen! Just trying to figure out the timing of it…
Great abstracts, love the strong use of texture in these more experimental images of yours.
It’s really the texture that tells the story with these. Thanks very much, Stevie.
