Street Portrait (for and of Hayley), 2013
Another shot taken in Covent Garden, this one just off Neal Street (which is crawling with street photographers every day). Hayley was on the phone. I loved her clothes and her facial expressions, so I waited until she’d finished and then asked her for a picture. She was great about it and let me take a few shots. This was a sneaky last one that I took while we were talking afterwards. It’s my favourite. Thanks very much, Hayley! Hope you like your picture.
her expression is really great. good move to sneak this shot 😉

Sometimes sneakiness pays off. This is so beautifully natural.
Ha, ha, indeed. Thanks very much, Karen.
Candids usually offer us much more than poised smiles. She seems like a warm person!
Yes, she seemed like that to me – I really liked her confidence (and of course the way she was dressed).
Great portrait again… Really casual (although as it’s a ‘candid’ one, I guess it must be! 🙂 )
Thanks very much, Richard! 🙂
You’ve captured such a sweet face with sparkling eyes. So beautiful!
Yes, Hayley was that! Thanks very much, Elena!

Nice layers of distance Richard. And who can get past that glow? Wow!
Thanks very much, Philippa. Yes, Hayley’s great isn’t she?
So warm and happy, immediate feeling of trust. Hayley could probably sell me anything!
Ha, ha, yes! She was a really nice person and very straightforward. I wonder what her job is.
Lovely softness which draws you in to her deep, sharp eyes..beautiful!
Thanks so much, Cath! She was beautiful indeed.
Wonderful expression. Love the catch light!
Thanks, Carissa.
Love Hayley’s smiling eyes!
Yes, me too!
Tiene una cara muy muy simpática, se ve que la chica tenía que ser muy agradable, me encanta!!
Yes, indeed – she was really nice! Thanks very much, Manoli!
Hi Richard, a very spontaneous shot, great work.
Hi Cheryl, thanks very much – it’s one of my new techniques – very quick shots either before or after the “formal” ones. Glad you like it.
Lovely and whimsical. Interesting that the street is crawling with other street photographers. Do you ever speak to them? Living in such a small town, I rarely see another photographer, period. They are like a rare species, lol.
Yes, I do speak to them sometimes. It’s really interesting the different things they talk about. A few of them are also bloggers. That’s so funny! Are you known as The Photographer?
An infectious and warm smile. Great portrait
Yes, indeed. Thanks very much, Stevie.
